Spill Tab
French-Korean singer, songwriter, and producer spill tab (real name Claire Chicha), now based in Los Angeles, unveils ANGIE — a 12-track album brimming with energy, creativity, and refined musicality. As showcased in her recent singles, the album dives into the many facets of her influences, shifting from the heavy basslines and pitched vocals of “PINK LEMONADE”, to the grunge distortion of “De Guerre”, and the euphoric guitar solos on the title track “Angie.”
The artist began working on what would become ANGIE without expectations, freely exploring new sounds and ideas with her Los Angeles-based community of collaborators, including producer David Marinelli, Solomonophonic (recent Grammy Award winner), Wyatt and Austin, as well as John DeBold. “It was a beautiful experience, where I only followed the ideas I truly believed in and explored musical paths I had never taken before,” she explains.
From the romantic bossa nova of “Hold Me”, to the grunge-tinged “De Guerre”, and the downtempo electronic atmosphere of “Doesn’t That Scare You?”, ANGIE unfolds as a lush, deep, and often unexpected sonic world that is uniquely hers. This is spill tab in full command of her craft, free to let the music take her wherever it wants — all we have to do is listen.
