Oklou

Oklou, aka Marylou Mayniel, is a French producer, songwriter, and singer who has established herself as one of the most distinctive artists of her generation. Trained in classical piano before diving into the world of electronic music, she has developed a musical identity defined by a unique sensitivity and deeply personal songwriting.

She first broke through in 2020 with her mixtape Galore, which quickly drew attention; this pivotal project positioned her as one of the emerging sensations of the European hyperpop scene, showcasing her taste for atmospheric textures and ethereal melodies.

In February 2025, the Poitiers-born artist reached a decisive milestone with her debut album choke enough. More ambitious and refined, the record explores themes of vulnerability and resilience through a hyperpop and electronic lens. Each track reflects meticulous sonic research, marking a key step in her artistic journey.

Over the years, Oklou has multiplied collaborations that highlight her openness and artistic curiosity. From Bladee to underscores to Aaron Hibell, she has surrounded herself with artists from diverse aesthetics. This trajectory led her to sell out La Cigale twice in March 2025, and to be booked for the 2026 edition of Coachella in the United States.
