Paris-born singer and songwriter Camille first gained international attention with the bossa nova-inspired project Nouvelle Vague before establishing herself as a daring solo artist. Her debut Le Sac des Filles (2002) and breakthrough Le Fil (2005) earned multiple Victoires de la Musique awards, marking her as one of France’s most original voices. Known for her inventive use of the body and voice as instruments, she has explored folk, pop, gospel, and experimental a cappella across acclaimed albums including Music Hole (2008), Ilo Veyou (2011), and Oui (2017). Beyond her recordings, Camille has contributed music to films such as Pixar’s Ratatouille and The Little Prince.

In 2025, she reached a new milestone by winning the Oscar for Best Original Song with “El Mal” (co-written with Clément Ducol and Jacques Audiard) from Emilia Pérez, alongside a César Award for Best Original Score, further cementing her impact as one of France’s most innovative and influential contemporary artists.
