Busy Twist

A leading figure of the Global Sound movement, Busy Twist has uneveiled Busy Life Vol. 1 — a hybrid project nearly ten years in the making, deeply inspired by international dance culture. Released on London Records, this 11-track compilation retraces a decade of travels, musical encounters, and sonic experiments. It captures the raw energy of street parties, sound systems, and carnivals — from Accra to Cartagena.

On Busy Life Vol. 1, Busy Twist brings together a hand-picked selection of guests: Congolese singer Tres, Ghanaian artists Zongo Abongo and Bryte, St. Lucian duo Mata & Big Sea, Colombian afro-futurist icons Ghetto Kumbé, and guitar legend Guimba Kouyaté. These collaborations are elevated by Busy Twist’s singular artistic direction.
