Amadou & Mariam

Amadou & Mariam are a Grammy-nominated husband-and-wife duo from Mali who blend traditional West African sounds with rock, pop, and electronic influences. After rising to prominence in the 1980s and 1990s, they gained international acclaim with the Manu Chao–produced Dimanche à Bamako (2004). Since then, they have collaborated with artists like Damon Albarn, -M-, K’Naan, and Toumani Diabaté, performing at major festivals worldwide. With their unique sound and global reach, they have become true ambassadors of Malian music.
