Pascal Comelade is a Catalan musician born on the 13th June 1955 in Montpellier, he lives in Ceret.
After living in Barcelona for a few years, he produced his first album titled “Fluences” inspired by electronic music and by the band Heldon.
After that his music became much more acoustic and is characterised by the use of a toy Kawai piano, a toy Michelsonne piano, piano, an electric organ, accordion, guitars, instruments and synth imitations.
In 1983 he founded the “Bel Canto Orchestra”, a continually evolving band.
Since 1975, he has produced over 40 albums and many film scores. He has collaborated with the likes of Jaume SISA, Enric CASASSES, Pau RIBA, Victor NUBLA, Jeanne MOREAU, Roy PACI, Jean-François STEVENIN, Robert WYATT, Pip PYLE, MIOSSEC, ARNO, Laurent SINCLAIR (taxi girl), Jaki LIEBEZEIT (can), Jean-Hervé PERON (faust), PJ HARVEY, Mark CUNNINGHAM (mars), Richard PINHAS (heldon), Jac BERROCAL, Pierre BASTIEN, ULAN BATOR, Sergi LOPEZ, O.T.H, les VIERGES, Général ALCAZAR, Toti SOLER, Maria del Mar BONET ,Lluis LLACH, David CUNNINGHAM (flying lizards), Vinicio CAPOSELLA, Miquel GIL, Jordi BATISTE….
